A third airline will operate a Nice-New York in the summer of 2020. United Airlines announced, Thursday, August 22, that it will serve the Newark-Liberty airport from Nice (already connected by Delta Airlines and The Company).

The flights will depart daily from May 2nd to September 8th, in Boeing 767-300 ER, extended version of the 767-300, with 46 Business, 22 Premium and 99 Eco seats. They will take off from the Nice-Côte d'Azur airport at noon for an arrival in New York at 15:15 local (after 9:15 flight).

This announcement comes in a context where tourist numbers in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-D'Azur region are experiencing a significant rebound, especially from American tourists (+ 30.4% in hotels in the summer of 2018, according to theINSEE). "These new daily frequencies accompany the return of North American tourists to the Riviera and reinforce the many cultural and economic relations between our territories", said Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Management Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur in a statement.
