The reintegration of individuals incarcerated through animals is a model in the field of the reintegration of delinquents in the United States, and a subject of inspiration for the films and short films of the French Laure De Clermont-Tonnerre.

In his short film Rabbit, we followed the path of a little white rabbit delivered and abandoned in the care of an inmate of a Washington State high security prison who will have to take care of it to see her sentence reduced.

In The Mustang (Nevada in French), Roman Coleman, interpreted by Matthias Schoenaerts is condemned in a rural prison of Nevada and will try to get out of his silence and his exclusion thanks to a social rehabilitation program prescribed by the State: the training of mustangs, wild horses of the American Northwest.

French director Laure De Clermont-Tonnerre’s first feature film was screened and awarded to critics of the Sundance Festival, the leading American independent film festival held annually in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.

The projection will take place Wednesday November 20 at 7 pm at the Silavana, South Harlem social club, in the concert hall below, on screen and video projector.
