If it was one of the rare companies to continue to operate direct flights between France and the United States during the confinement, Air France has very limited services: only New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta are served and only very partially. This will change announced the French company via social media from its local branch

From June 15, Air France will serve Chicago at the rate of 3 flights per week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday). But it is especially from July 6 that the flight plan becomes more substantially filled. In addition to the cities already served, San Francisco and Boston will be added (Monday, Thursday and Saturday for both airports). In addition, connections are increased to Los Angeles (once a day) and New York (once a day and twice on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).

From August 3, Air France will switch to two flights a day to New York (JFK). A clear increase compared to the current situation, but still far from the 5 daily flights operated before the crisis. For all of its global operations, Air France estimates that it will operate in August at 40% of its pre-Covid capacity. For the United States, a large number of direct connections therefore remain excluded from this recovery until at least the end of August, notably Miami, Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, Washington, Detroit, Seattle …
