France will once again be well represented at the Golden Globes 2020, which augurs for future Oscar nominees. The award ceremony, which will take place on January 5, 2020, could crown composer Alexandre Desplat, author of the music for the film “Les Filles du Docteur March” (“Little Women”), with success. In 2018, the latter had already won the Oscar and the Golden Globes for best film music for "The Shape of Water".

L'Hexagone will also be represented in the category of the best foreign film: the historic drama “Portrait of the girl on fire” by Céline Sciamma and “Les Misérables” by Ladj Ly, jury prices at the last Cannes festival, have been selected . They will face a high level of competition, with “Parasite” by Bong Joon-ho, “L’Adieu (The Farewell)” by Lulu Wang and “Pain and Glory” by Pedro Almodovar.
