A man appeared dead in the parking lot of a Burger King in downtown L.A.

They stab a man until he is killed in a DTLA Burger King

Los Angeles Police (LAPD) initiated a homicide investigation after a man was stabbed in the parking lot of a Burger King restaurant in downtown Los Angeles on Fridaysaid the authorities.

The incident was first reported around 6 p.m. outside the restaurant on Cesar E. Chavez and Grand avenues, said Drake Madison, an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Firefighters responded first and then summoned the police to the scene.

The victim was initially described as a man in his 60s, the officer said.

Madison said that the officers were looking for a Latino man with a beard wearing a black jacket with a zipper and black pants, in relation to the murder.

Witnesses at the scene told KTLA that the victim was a taxi driver and that the assailant escaped.

There are no more details available at the moment.
