Dramatic images show what happened moments after point-blank attack in Compton

Moments after having been shot in the head from close range inside their patrol by a shooter who then fled, the two Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department sheriffs abandoned the vehicle and helped each other survive Saturday night at a subway station in Compton.

The dramatic video from a surveillance camera was released on Monday and can be seen by clicking here. Marshals are shown within 28 seconds of the KTLA report.

The images show a 31-year-old sheriff, who is a wife and mother, tending to her partner, 24, who is more seriously injured. He then falls to his knees.

The two received multiple gunshot wounds and underwent surgery at a local hospital, where they are reported to be stable.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that the bailiff was bleeding a lot from one arm and that she applied a tourniquet to try to stop the bleeding and then asked for help using his radio. Both had only 14 months of service in the department.

The authorities are looking for the attacker and offer a $ 200,000 reward for helping to find it.
