Los Angeles County authorities announced Wednesday reopening for next Friday from gyms and fitness facilities, unheard sports venues, day camps, museums, galleries, zoos, aquariums, camps, RV parks, outdoor recreation areas including swimming pools, music, film and television production , and also hotels, all with restrictions such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance.

Authorities said that security protocols for those companies to be announced Thursday and that the complying facilities could be reopened the next day.

The new phase of reopening occurs when Los Angeles County public health officials reported 1,275 new cases and 61 additional COVID-19 related deaths.

The following businesses and facilities are still closed in the county: nail salons, tattoo shops, bars and wineries, cinemas, live performance theaters, entertainment centers, concert halls and theaters, stadiums, sports arenas, game facilities, theme parks and festivals.

Despite the restrictions lifted, Parties and home gatherings are not yet allowed.

The measure marks another important step in reopening the economy despite continued increases in both the number of new coronavirus infections and deaths related to the disease.

Los Angeles County remains California's epicenter of the pandemic, with more than 2,700 deaths, and is one of the counties the state is currently monitoring.
