The Maysles Documentary Center is organizing the third edition of the Francophone Short Film Festival in Harlem at Maysles Cinema.
The 7th French-speaking art will be celebrated for two days on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th. On the program, 19 short films, organized in 3 different programs, made all over the world: Senegal, Burkina-Fasso, Switzerland, Belgium, Benin, Tunisia, Gabon, Haiti, Quebec, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Reunion , and Côte d'Ivoire associated with Morocco.
Jeff Taver's French short film, Mama Lova (2018), which tackles the issue of rioting between neighborhoods and mothers' place, will be screened during the program on Saturday, December 7 from 7 pm.
The screenings (in French, subtitled in English), will be followed by questions and answers with film professionals.
