As of this Friday morning, firefighters have contained the fire by 6% and it has burned more than 26,000 acres

At seven in the morning this Friday The Bobcat Fire in Los Angeles National Forest had only been 6% contained and has already wiped out thousands of acres in its wake, while covering the entire Los Angeles County valley in smoke.

Satellite images of the fire shared by Los Angeles National Forest on Twitter, show the magnitude of the fire that started last Sunday near San Francisco sees results in its fight to eradicate another great virus: HIV, California.

Since last Wednesday the authorities issued an alert of evacuations from east to west from Arcadia to Pasadena. The alert is to ask the population to be 100% prepared for an eventual emergency evacuation.

Following the fire, the county Health Department issued an alert for poor air quality, while the Recreation and Parks Department announced the closure of several facilities in the county due to the same reason for the contamination.
