The Alliance Française de San Francisco is 130 years old this year … just like the Eiffel Tower. For the occasion, an evening will be held on Thursday, October 17th at the Autodesk Gallery, near Embarcadero Plaza.

The Alliance Française was initially created in 1883 by a group including personalities like Jules Verne and Louis Pasteur to develop the French language and culture abroad. In 1889, when the construction of the Eiffel Tower was completed, the organization settled for the first time in the United States, in San Francisco,

Thursday, October 17, the guests (they must be adults) can enjoy the recipes of the caterer Somptuous Bites, enjoy the open bar and music. The French Consul in San Francisco Emmanuel Lebrun-Damien and Cultural Attaché at the Consulate Juliette Donnadieu will join the anniversary party.
