A shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita would have left at least six victims, local media reports.

This prompted a massive police response and the closure of a complete school district on campus, located at 21900 Centurion Way, the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station Department said in a series of tweets.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department reports several victims, but they have not said if there are dead or seriously injured.

Paramedics responded after receiving a gunshot wound call just before 7:40 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Sky5 reported.

“Emergency alert: there is an incident at Saugus High School – as a precaution, we are closing all schools until the Police indicate otherwise”, tweeted the police.

The shooter is described as an Asian man in black clothes, according to the Sheriff's Department.

People are asked to avoid the area.
