The Saddleridge fire was burning near the Aliso Canyon gas facility, which was the site of the largest methane release in US history.

The flames were approaching the facilities of Porter Ranch, which has been closed and evacuated. Firefighters were on the scene prepared for any stage.

The Saddleridge fire made a rapid advance from Sylmar to Porter Ranch. His progress was so rapid that he surpassed the fire department.

If the fire had had contact with methane, the consequences would be worse, as it would have caused large explosions.
