"Music on the West Side": string and sax party in New York

The Classical Saxophone Project (CSP) is organizing a concert on Thursday October 10th at Advent Lutheran Church (Upper West Side).

On the "Music on the West Side" program: pieces by composers Alessandro Marcello, Debra Kaye, Hélène Rasquier and Philippe Treuille. Professor at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and former head of contemporary decoding lessons for the choir of Radio France, Hélène Rasquier is the composer that the CSP has chosen to highlight during its 2019-2020 season.

The program will be played by saxophonist Javier Oviedo and the excellent orchestra of the CSP led by the French Jean-Pierre Schmitt. Both men assembled the Classical Saxophone Project to showcase saxophone tracks in classical music. A repertoire unknown but rich.
