The Los Angeles Police Department accused of handling a dead woman pleaded not guilty this Monday morning.

David Rojas, 27, He was arrested on December 12 as a result of an investigation into events on October 20. A random review of body camera videos revealed that the agent touched the body's breasts when his patrol partner left the scene.

According to initial reports, Rojas turned off the camera before touching the woman, but the device recorded for a couple of minutes.

"The incident is quite disturbed and does not represent the values ​​of the Los Angeles Police Department," said the chief of Michel Moore police.

Rojas did not receive the support of the LAPD union. The man faces up to three years in jail if he is found guilty of sexual contact with human remains.

The man is free since he paid $ 20,000 bond. His next court summons will be February 27. That day the date of the preliminary hearing will be decided to take the case to trial.
