Isabelle Adjani on the stage in New York in September

The months of September and October will be under the sign of Isabelle Adjani at the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF). The French actress has selected ten films from ten different directors to be screened between Tuesday, September 10 to October 29 as part of the French film series CineSalon. From September 12 to 14, she will also be on stage for the opening of Crossing the Line, the multi-disciplinary festival of the FIAF.

In the play, "Opening Night", adapted from a work by John Cassavetes, Isabelle Adjani plays the role of an actress confronted with her age. Cyril Teste, the director, will change the script every night so as to plunge into the richness of Cassavetes' work. The September 13 performance will be followed by a discussion.

As for films, the program includes his new film "Le Monde est à toi" (September 10th), "Camille Claudel" (September 17th), "La Reine Margot" (October 22nd) or "Quartet" (October 1st) of which the screening will be followed by a Q & A session with director James Ivory.
