Two men died after being hit by a vehicle in the angel neighborhood of Westmont, at the intersection of 95th Street and Normandie Avenue.
One of the pedestrians, a 47-year-old man, died instantly at the crime scene. The other, a young man of about 20 years, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and then died due to the serious injuries he suffered. Although the victims' age is known, the authorities have not yet revealed their identity.
Due to the strong collision, the California Highway Patrol found a plaque at the scene, which allowed them to track the owner of the vehicle to his residence, near the site where the crime occurred. But nevertheless, the authorities did not find anyone in the home and believe that the driver abandoned the vehicle, a gray Mercedes Benz, and escaped.
