Archi Duenas, 33 years old, was known to many officers who frequent the place because he had been working for Los Angeles Police Revolver and Athletic Club, who manages the weapons store, a uniform store, and a cafe located at the LAPD training facility.

Authorities suspect that the subject stole at least 30 weapons. Sales would have been made without the necessary paperwork and at a reduced price.

A source told the newspaper that this could expose to those bought into criminal charges because the officers know the legal requirements and prices of weapons.

Authorities noted the theft of weapons and sales irregularities in one of the routine audits last month. During the investigation they would have found several empty gun boxes.
