French Cinema Week
Infos and tickets

The second largest French film festival, the Francophone Film Festival of Angoulême (FFA) is exported. He will present a selection of films and previews at a brand new rendezvous for French films in New York, the French Cinema Week, from Tuesday, November 12 to Thursday, November 14. Many distinguished guests will make the trip. Three venues will host the event: The French Institute French Alliance (FIAF) (Midtown East), the New York French High School (Upper East Side) and The Landmark (Midtown West).

Founded in 2007 by Marie-France Brière and Dominique Besnehard, the festival does not arrive in New York by chance. The city of New York was considered the "New Angouleme" by the Europeans, according to the nickname given in 1524 by the explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, in honor of King Francis I of France, Count of Angoulême from 1496 to at his coronation in 1515.

On the program of this film reunion, three days of screening, meetings and round tables with actors and directors. Charlotte Gainsbourg, Yvan Attal, Anastasia Mikova, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Zabou Breitman, Dominique Besnehard, Marie-France Briere and the historian Florent Gaillard will make the trip.

Full program:

-Tuesday 14th November: And if New York was called Angoulême, Marie-France Brière (4pm), and My stupid dog, by Yvan Attal (7:30 pm), who will officially kick off the festival.
-Wednesday, November 15th: Tomorrow is ours, by Gilles de Maistre (1:30 pm) and Woman, by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Anastasia Mikova (6:30 pm)
