François Molins, the prosecutor of Paris that the general public has discovered on the occasion of the many attacks that have struck the French capital in recent years, will participate in a major Franco-American symposium on the treatment of victims. The event will take place on Tuesday, September 10th at the Maison Français de Columbia.

This symposium, entitled "What is the suffering?", Will bring together several French and American experts specializing in the study of victims, whether they are affected by acts of terrorism, crimes or natural disasters. Stakeholders from a variety of disciplines (law, history, economics, philosophy) include New York County Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who has been involved with #MeToo's business. They will question the existence of a moral and legal "hierarchy" of the victims, the reasons why we are not moved in the same way by all the victims and the definition of the "ideal victim" …

The event is free and in English.
