Franco-American conference on plastics in the oceans in Washington

There is plastic floating on the surface of the oceans. And there is one who hides in the sea, in the form of microplastics, and which is much more important. The French House of the Embassy of France dedicates a conference, Tuesday, November 5, to this hidden plastic that poisons the flora and the marine fauna.

On the program of this evening: the screening of "Oceans, The Mystery of the Missing Plastic", a documentary by Vincent Pérazio that focuses on the 99% of plastics immersed in the depths. It will be followed by a discussion between Ika Paul-Pont, marine ecotoxicology specialist at the CNRS, and Nancy Wallace, NOAA marine litter program director.
