The decision of the governor of New York fell on Friday morning, as the number of cases registered in the state passed 7,000 (and more than 4,400 for New York alone) after a sudden increase in the number of tests carried out since Wednesday. From Sunday evening at 8 pm, almost all residents will have to stay at home.

Andrew Cuomo refused the qualifier “containment” (“Shelter in place”) but the measures detailed by the executive order are very much like that.
