This is a great first for Zaz: she offers a tour in the United States from October 4 to 17. The 39-year-old French singer will visit Washington, New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland and Toronto, Canada (dates at the end of the article).

"The United States is a bit of a territory to conquer", says the singer who was already in New York in April for a first concert. "I am both excited and curious. It makes me feel a bit like when I went to Paris in 2006 to get into the job. " Often criticized in France for his physical appearance or his style of dress, Zaz knows a considerable success abroad. The raucous singer has sold more than two million albums out of France and continues concerts internationally as in Latin America, Russia and Japan.

During his American tour, Zaz plans "very acoustic concerts with a mix of my four albums ". His latest album, "Mirror Effect", is certified platinum in France (over 100,000 sales). The album is very eclectic by making us travel from Cuba to Lapland. Zaz explains in part his success outside France by "A love of the French language abroad which is extraordinary". According to her, "It remains a fascination for France, its language, its culture, its history, which I represent in spite of myself on stage".

Beyond her American tour, Zaz is already thinking about her upcoming album, which she imagines "Less pop with more swing and jazz". But for now, the singer feels "Tired" and account "Take a step back for a moment". "I've been doing concerts and big halls in recent years. It does not suit me anymore. I feel the need to have no more planning, to be bored ". Eventually, the singer wants to do "more small rooms for to find the proximity with the people ".
