Coming to promote the movie "The King" in which he plays King Henry V, the young actor wore the jersey of AS Saint-Etienne, a club he supports since his childhood. If he was born in New York, Timothée Chalamet indeed spent several summers at his grandmother Chambon-sur-Lignon in his youth, 60 kilometers from Saint-Etienne.

Guest of the radio show "Boomerang" on France Inter in February 2018, the actor explained that his childhood dream was "To be a professional football player", and that he looks "Regularly the football matches of AS Saint-Etienne".

Timothy Chalamet was revealed in 2017 for his role in the movie "Call Me By Your Name", for which he was nominated for Oscars the following year.
