Redondo Beach Kite Festival celebrates 46th anniversary –

Hundreds of kites will invade the sky of Redondo Beach on Sunday March 8. The Festival of The Kite has been held on this beach for the past 46 years. At the end of the day, the most breathtaking kites – by their shapes or colors – will be awarded prizes.

Besides the air show, there will also be entertainment on earth. The Redondo Pier association has put together a plethora of entertainment with concerts, dance performances, a martial arts demonstration and a hot dog tasting competition. Something to celebrate the transition to summer time with a fanfare.
