The month of November will be cinematographic in Los Angeles (like the rest of the year besides). From November 14 to 21, AFI Fest, a festival organized by the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, will storm Hollywood with its screenings (tickets available October 30). It allows the public to see international films broadcast in major festivals such as the Venice Film Festival and the Berlinale. For the first time, admission is not free (from 12 to 20 dollars per session).

Among the selected films are French productions, such as "" Le Suede "(" Deerskin "), the latest film by Quentin Dupieux where we follow Georges (played by Jean Dujardin), 44 years old, whose purchase of a 100% suede jacket makes him crazy; the documentary "Varda by Agnès" in which the late Agnès Varda decrypts the structure of her films as well as her filming and editing choices; the French-German "Proxima" production of Alice Winocour where a French astronaut is preparing for a one-year mission and separation from her 8-year-old daughter; as well as Albert Serra's "Liberté" (Franco-Spanish-Portuguese film) where Madame de Dumeval, the Duke of Tesis and the Duke of Wand, libertines expelled from the puritanical court of Louis XVI, will export libertinism to Germany.

The festival will begin at the TCL Chinese Theater on Thursday, November 14, with the screening of "Queen & Slim" directed by Melina Matsoukas. The film tells the story of a black couple, whose arrest for a minor offense will degenerate. AFI Fest will close on Thursday, November 21st with a preview of George Nolfi's "The Banker", where two African-American entrepreneurs defy racial laws in the 1950s in the United States by recruiting a laborer White.
