A former soccer player from Northridge State University of California He was sentenced Friday to eight years in a state prison after being convicted of raping a woman on campus, prosecutors said.

Davis Moreno-Jaime, a 20-year-old from Loma Linda, also He was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said in a press release.

Moreno-Jaime was a freshman in Marketing when He was arrested on campus in August 2018 in connection with a violation that occurred in January.

At that moment, He was suspected of several other sexual assaults in the San Fernando Valley and at least one that happened outside of Los Angeles County. The authorities indicated that Moreno-Jaime knew the victims.

The young man He was originally accused of sexually assaulting a second woman and mistreating a third. But court records show that the charges of false imprisonment and assault were dismissed or not prosecuted.

A jury found him guilty of a charge of forced rape last month.
