Where to watch the fireworks show on July 4th in New York?

July 4th in New York would not be without the famous Macy's 4th of July Firework. Shot from 9:20 pm around the Brooklyn Bridge, on four floating barges on the East River, the fireworks will be visible from the following sites. The list is non-exhaustive.

Manhattan

The following intersections are recommended: Broad Street & Water Street, Pearl Street & Dover Street, Market Street & Cherry Street (Disabled Access), Pike Slip & Cherry Street. These official places are listed by the Macy's website. It is therefore advisable to come as soon as possible to avoid a mass movement of crowds that could ruin the view. The South Street Seaport area is a good pick to see the show.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge Park and Main Street Park, on either side of the Brooklyn Bridge, will allow you to see the show. The most beautiful view will certainly be the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, the small elevated walk in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. Take advantage: the structure is threatened with closure because of the renovation of the BQE, the fast track that passes just below.

To the south, Red Hook is not to be neglected either. The neighborhood has jetties on which it will be possible to see the pyrotechnic show (by far, of course).
