YMCA to offer free meals to those most in need during coronavirus

Despite keeping its doors closed by the quarantine order issued in the city of Los Angeles, seven headquarters of the YMCA organization in the city they will start deliver free food to pick up and take home twice a week.

Food packages for breakfast and lunch, will be delivered to families who have students under 18 at home. The availability of the packages is until the available stocks are exhausted in each venue, each day.

Initially, the program is expected to be operational from today March 30 to May 1 in the following locations and hours:

Crenshaw Family YMCA, located at 3820 Santa Rosalia Drive, L.A. on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. at 3:00 p.m.

Ketchum-Downtown YMCA, located at 401 S Hope St, L.A. on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. at 12:30 p.m.

Mid Valley Family YMCA, located at 6901 Lennox Avenue, Van Nuys, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. at 12:30 p.m.

San Pedro and Peninsula YMCA, located at 301 S Bandini St, San Pedro, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. at 11:00 a.m.

Southeast Rio Vista YMCA, located at 4801 E 58th Street, Maywood, on Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m.

Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA, located at 2900 Whittier Blvd, L.A, on Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m.

Wilmington YMCA, located at 1127 N Avalon Blvd, Wilmington, Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. at 11:00 a.m.
