French education abroad is shaken up by the Covid-19. But the changes did not date from the pandemic. To discuss the subject, we have three guests:

-Claudine Lepage, senator for French people living abroad, member of the AEFE board of directors and president of the Association Français du monde- ADFE.

Pub

-Roger Pardo, President of FIPA, the Parents Association of Miami’s Public Bilingual Programs, which serves some 1,000 students.

-Laurent Gallissot, Consul General of France in Miami.

We will talk about the consequences of the Covid-19 on French education abroad, the measures put in place by the government in the crisis, but also the challenges that the AEFE network must meet in the world, for example of the disruption of distance education thanks to the pandemic. Can these methods permanently change the teaching of French abroad? We will mainly discuss the example of Miami, what justified the creation of this unique program in the United States and how it survives despite the obstacles.
