Los Angeles municipal workers have begun installing 123 vote-by-mail boxes in the city for the 2020 general election.
The city is thus assisting the Los Angeles County Clerk-Recorder (LAVote) with the installation of the 300 ballot boxes in total for the entire county, which are intended to give people a safe and easy option to vote in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“StreetsLA is proud to assist in this important civic initiative, and I thank the staff who are working quickly to get these… convenient mailboxes installed and in place for the elections,” he said. Adel Hagekhalil, General Manager of StreetsLA, formerly known as the Office of Street Services.
