Authorities are investigating the "gross" act that occurred at a South Los Angeles intersection

A man traveling as a passenger in a car played a very prank on a Latino street vendor, who was offering face masks at a South Los Angeles intersection in recent days.

Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said Monday that he was investigating the incident in which the passenger catches the seller's attention by yelling, "Dude, how much?". When the young merchant wearing a hat and masks approaches, the passenger tells him that he has dropped money.

The seller reacts by turning to the ground and then the passenger, an african-american man wearing a red and white jacket, throws the egg in the chest. Then the vehicle walks away between laughs of the aggressor. The video, taken from inside the car, was broadcast on social networks.

The Sheriff's Department said the act near Florence and Central avenues was "gross" and asked the community to provide information about the abuser.
