On the streets of Los Angeles you can see almost everything, but how about a geyser …?
A local reporter published on Friday on her Twitter account the video of a monstrous water leak caused by a reckless driver, who according to the tweet by journalist Joy Benedict, hit a street hydrant in the Studio City neighborhood and then fled.
The consequence was a vertical leak so powerful that it looked like a geyser in the middle of the city. The incident occurred on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, just in front of a Vons store.
Crazy scene in Studio City as a hit & run driver slammed into a fire hydrant on Laurel Canyon Blvd, shooting water 50 yards high and knocking out power to the area. @lafd can't turn off the water because of the power lines above @CBSLA pic.twitter.com/ZMX5u6DE3x

According to the CBS reporter, firefighters analyzed the situation before the electrocution hazard from high voltage cables above where the leak occurred. No major incidents were reported.
Unfortunately, there have been other leaks from hitting fire hydrants in the same area. Just a few days ago, an identical case occurred a few blocks away., near Universal Studios in Hollywood.
