Last Tuesday, July 21, the city ​​Council from the city of Glendale, California approved an order allowing the Police fine people who do not wear face masks when they are in public places.

City order states that people must wear a face mask at all times when they are away from their home, apartment or place of residence. However, the order has some exceptions such as:

  • That the person is alone or only with people in their family group
  • Which are children under 2 years old or children with respiratory problems
  • People with certain physical disabilities as long as they keep their distance when they are in public
  • If the use of the mask is a risk during work activity
  • If you are in the car while alone or with family
  • When you are alone in an office where you do not receive visits from the public
  • While alone or with family members outdoors with no one around less than 30 feet away

Authorities reported that in a first offense, people will receive a $ 400 fine, if you repeat you will pay $ 1,000 and in case there is a third, or more violations, they will receive fines of $ 2,000 dollars.

In the case of businesses that do not enforce the mandate on their clients, they will also face fines for the same amounts.
