Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti recently expanded movement restrictions in the city and closed parks and parking lots on the beaches after a weekend with many people enjoying these spaces in the midst of the coronavirus emergency.
However, a video shared on Twitter this morning, and recorded from a helicopter, shows the popular beach of Santa Monica totally empty.
The governor, Gavin newsom, had also spoken about it in recent statements. "Those young people who are still on the beach thinking it is a party, must mature" The increase in cases in the county and the increase in deaths have made the streets of Los Angeles empty even more.
