Two people are in police custody for allegedly brutally beating and robbing a Latino elder in Lancaster, California.
Roberto Flores López, 82, was attacked Wednesday in the restrooms of the Superior Grocers supermarket, located on East Avenue J, in the city of Lancaster, in northern Los Angeles county.
Damaris Wade, 22, and Tamika White, 33, are accused of breaking Flores López's nose and jaw and leaving him several fractures after the beating. The grandfather of 17 had to be cared for in intensive care.
The police investigation indicates that Roberto went to the bathroom while his wife waited in line to pay. Once in the toilet of the store, a man struck him several punches, kicked his ribs and took advantage of the state in which he left him to steal his wallet and flee. According to his family, Flores López would not have more than $ 20 dollars.
