Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputies were shot at a subway station in Compton Saturday night, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the Metro Blue Blue station at Willowbrook and Compton Boulevard around 7 p.m. The station is within walking distance of the Compton sheriff’s station.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department posted on Twitter: “A few moments ago, two of our sheriffs were shot in Compton and taken to a local hospital. You are both still fighting for your lives, so keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We will update this thread with information as it becomes available. “

Officers were shot in the head in what appears to be an ambush, department officials say. They were rushed to a local hospital. No further information is available on the condition of the injured at this time.
Agents have blocked streets in the area and are searching for the suspect.
