“America First”. This expression, which translates to “America first” or “America first”, is the name given to Donald Trump’s foreign policy. Between trade wars, relocation of the American Embassy to Jerusalem, questioning of the functioning of NATO and several international agreements, the four years of Trump’s presidency were marked by many ruptures. Is there a Trump doctrine in international politics? Can its foreign policy have positive effects?

For this new episode of “This is America”, we receive Roger Cohen, renowned columnist at New York Times and specialist in foreign policy issues. This adventurer born in England and naturalized American was a correspondent in several countries (Croatia, France, Italy…) before becoming the interim head of the international section of the American daily on September 11, 2001. He was appointed permanently six months more late. He currently lives in Paris.
