City program to plant trees on public roads for Los Angeles residents and business owners

The mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, fixed the planting of 90,000 trees by 2021 as part of the objectives of the Green New Deal, andhe program is to plant trees in the public road for L.A. residents and business owners

Trees will be planted in the public road between the sidewalk and the street in front of houses or businesses. City Plants, a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of trees in Los Angeles, has partnered with the mayor's office, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Energy (LADWP), LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN) and StreetsLA to offer the free tree program at the public road.

Those interested in obtaining trees should fill rRegister online to get them. After completing a form, City Plants will visit the site to check for appropriate tree planting spaces and to determine what type or species of tree is the best for that location.
