Multiple vials with a colorless liquid, which were labeled coronavirus test kits, were detected in a parcel shipment that arrived at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from United Kingdom.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that it is false diagnostic tests of the COVID-19 that were seized and sent to the Food and Drug Administration (Fda) to analyze its content.

CBP officers at LAX discovered the fake coronavirus test kits last Thursday, March 12, by reviewing a package with a UK sender, which was registered as "Vials of Purified Water" and with a declared value of $ 196.81 dollars.

Upon opening the box, customs officers discovered that six plastic bags were labeled with the legend: “Corona Virus 2019ncov (COVID-19)” and a product code number.

In each bag were about 20 vials or vials with a clear substance, which indicated to be virus test kits.

CBP indicated that the authorized diagnostic tests for COVID-19 They are managed by laboratories verified by public health authorities, which warned the community that all those homemade products that are offered online or informally to diagnose the coronavirus would be false.
