The Comité Tricolore is mobilizing its network and launching an appeal for solidarity to support those who are hit hardest by the crisis. “The impact on the health of the most vulnerable, and the critical socio-economic situations are unprecedented ” notes the president of the association Eve Chauchard.
In partnership with the French Consulate in Washington, the Tricolor Committee is seeking help from the French in the United States to help the poorest, the most vulnerable. The alert particularly concerns the following situations:
- Isolation – are particularly affected by this situation of the elderly with very low incomes.
- Health – depending on the absence or weakness of their medical cover, patients are faced with very high medical expenses.
- Job loss – the impact of lost wages and the threat of marginalization affects all family members.
- Waiting for return to France – to meet the need for temporary accommodation, associated costs and the possible purchase of an airline ticket.
