This play tells the story of Eugène, a handsome and insolent man who volunteered for the front in 1914. Two years later, he was wounded in Verdun by a shrapnel and left half his face there. . Then follows an irrepressible descent into hell: how to continue to live when the mirror shows us the remains of what has been and will no longer be? In Val-de-Grâce where he is hospitalized, Eugène will meet Sarah Bernhardt. The latter will convince him to go into the theater, where he will cross the path of a certain Cyrano de Bergerac …
