Los Angeles County health authorities reported a new case that tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday, raising the sick number to 14 in the county, the highest in southern California.

The infected person had recently returned from a Conference of the American Public Affairs Committee of Israel (AIPAC) in Washington, D.C., where she was exposed to another person who tested positive for the virus.

Of the 14 cases in Los Angeles County, two are workers at the Los Angeles International Airport who were checking passengers for coronavirus.

Health officials said that there is no information from other places where this last patient has exposed others to the virus, KTLA reports.

In a notice about the new case, health officials again told Los Angeles County residents that they will take the same precautions given by the United States health authorities: wash your hands, disinfect surfaces, cover your mouth when you cough and stay home when you are sick.

Until now, Los Angeles County has reported more cases of coronavirus than any other in the Southern California region.
