The French Consulate General in New York has opened a listening cell for all French people who feel the need to speak.

Professional volunteers (psychologists, psychotherapists) are available to listen to you. "It is a question of responding to requests from French people living here who may suffer from confinement" says a spokeswoman for the Consulate. “Here we play a connecting role. Volunteers will be able to direct them to the right contacts and possibly to an appropriate care path ”.

They can be contacted between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. (New York time) from Monday to Sunday, subject to the volume of calls:

(+1) 332-900-5353, the number is not surcharged it costs the price of a local call

Consular officials are available from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (NY time) at (+1) 332-217-2032 for non-medical matters.
