Ready to celebrate art outdoors? This year, the Lungs Harvest Festival will be held from Saturday, September 14th to Sunday, September 22nd at the Green Oasis Community Garden in the East Village. Among the artists to discover, the French Matthieu Eveillard, a 37-year-old Breton singer-songwriter and expatriate in New York since 2015, will perform on Sunday 15 September.
The eighth Lungs Harvest Festival will celebrate (almost) all the arts. On the program: un nice outdoor mix of music, dance, painting, but also poetry, photography and even yoga (an art in its own right in New York!).
Matthieu Eveillard is already celebrating his second solo album, "Petit sauvage # 1". Released in June, he is more rhythmic than its precedent, "New York", less acoustic and minimalist. But we find what seduces in the work of Matthieu Eveillard: his poetry, the importance he gives to words and their sound, and obviously, his guitar.
From Jacques Brel or Bashung to Leonard Cohen, the young expatriate draws his inspiration from the two countries he loves. But if he plays, and juggles with both languages, he writes more in French. No doubt his lyrical flights will resonate in a particular way in the East Village, where he recorded the same album.
