The governor of California, Gavin newsom, announced that some retail stores could start commercial operations this Friday following a series of regulations which will be announced this week.
But for the mayor of the city of The Angels, Eric Garcetti, the economic reopening is not in his plans so soon. "Our time to open may be different from other regions"Said the mayor referring to the announcement of the governor.

"We have saved many lives in the county with what we have done and our death rate is lower than average, but despite that, we have had half of all deaths in the state. ”Garcetti assured.
The state of California has almost 55,000 cases of coronavirus and 2,254 deaths. But 26,217 cases they are in the L.A. county in addition to 1,256 deceased.

The mayor made it clear that during the next few days his office will be working with other county mayors, members of the City Council, the Board of Supervisors, and the Los Angeles County Department of Health to make the decisions regarding reopening together.
"We want to make sure that we are all on the same page"He pointed out Garcetti.
