The American Cinematheque shows "Ridiculous" in Santa Monica –

In March, rediscover a French classic of the seventh art – this is our saying. The American Cinematheque in Los Angeles will screen the film "Ridiculous", directed by Patrice Leconte, at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica on February 25 at 7:30 pm. The screening takes place within the framework of the Greg Proops Film Club, in which the actor-animator presents his favorite films (with live recording as a bonus).

Directed in 1996, the feature film follows the adventures of Grégoire Ponceludon de Malavoy (performed by Charles Berling), from a family of former nobility who fell into precariousness. He decides to inform King Louis XVI of his plans to clean up the Dombe marshes. On the way to Versailles, he befriends the Marquis de Bellegarde and his daughter, who will introduce him to the subtleties of the Court.
