Los Angeles County government and health officials announced Wednesday a modification of the security measures observed in Stage I, and the move to Stage II of the reopening that allows certain types of businesses and public spaces that were temporarily closed amid the coronavirus pandemic They can be reopened on Friday with safety precautions.

Beginning Friday, May 8, the City and County of Los Angeles will enter Stage II announced by the Mayor.
