We know him in comedy. This time Patrick Timsit is not there to make you laugh, but rather to cry. He was at the FIAF on January 29 and 30 with “Le Livre de ma mère”.

Throughout France, spectators, teary-eyed, made him a triumph with this "Book of my mother". Taken from the eponymous book by Albert Cohen, a filial love letter to his missing mother, the show stages Patrick Timsit, alone in a most sober setting. Alternating between the intimate – the memories, the emptiness left by the disappearance – and the universal, Cohen's magnificent text is served by a delicately and restrained interpretation of an actor that we rediscover.
