The Los Angeles City Council 6 District Councilor, Nury Martinez, reported that the city Council voted and approved his proposal to create an emergency fund for the coronavirus for rent payments.
Residents of the city of The AngelsEven the undocumented will be able to access financial aid to pay the rent since thousands of them do not receive federal support for their immigration status.

A similar background, also sponsored by Martínez, was created at the end of 2019 when many tenants of the city of L.A. faced an increase in income of more than 8%.
