The Los Angeles Dodgers, its Foundation (LADF) and the Salvation Army today distributed boxes of food equivalent to 40,000 meals to 2,000 families. as part of their continued relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The food boxes contained non-perishable groceries, canned goods and a Smart & Final gift card. In addition, families received Essential hygiene items for daily use during the pandemic, such as hand sanitizer and cleaning towels. Dodgers Foundation / Up2Us LA staff, SoCal Honda dealers and Salvation Army employees were on hand to assist in the distribution of self-services.

"Food insecurity has been a great challenge for so many families during this pandemic, and we know that these essential food boxes and gift cards will have a great impact on the provision of 40,000 meals for our community," said Naomi Rodríguez, vice president of Dodgers External Affairs and Community Relations. "Community service is the heart of the Dodgers' organization and we are committed to continuing our relief efforts and working together with our local leaders to help meet the needs of our community during these difficult times," he added.
